Durus is a transactional object store for Python. It operates at a lower level than Schevo, and imposes less restrictions on data format and structure than Schevo. As a consequence, Durus also provides less automation and rule-enforcement.

Schevo has used Durus since the inception of Schevo 3.0 in June 2005, and the pairing of the two has proven to be practical and useful.
